Orthographic, flat style.
We were looking to create a stylistic and colourful piece, with a continuous camera pan tracking an almighty snake through a town. No-body wants a snake in their house and this animation was a great reflection of how we were all feeling in light of the current political landscape.
Storyboards.
A total of 58 panels lovingly created for pre-production. Here's a sample from the opening sequence, showing the direction of that damn snake.
Flow snake, flow.
Given the animation was going to use a continuous camera pan for most of the sequence we wanted to get the timing right at the animatic stage.
2D vs 3D
Check out the 2d production art vs the 3d environment. We love the colours and the scale of the set in this piece. Plenty of room for that damn snake to roam.
