Style setting with a key frame
To get the look and feel of the character we did some early tests with different styles and colours, using the same key frame.
Animation tests
To get the level of movement right, we did a couple of quick low res tests to see how much bounce we wanted within the pop up action.
The clip on the left is distinctly less springy than the clip on the right.
