The client and PLBR required a 3 minute piece for use on IPads that would be as visually compelling as the dialogue was engaging. Terry talked about what it was like when his son was first diagnosed with schizophrenia, filmed as a talking head. PLBR wanted a piece that would live up to the rawness of the VO; reflecting the moments of light and darkness within the story.
The level of emotion from the character was incredible, especially if you consider he only had 3 circles for a face.
We built the character in 3d and created most of the environments in 2d. The production process was incredibly quick with a very short deadline. Building the character in 3d meant we could animate quicker than if we'd have gone down a 2d route.
